Kirsten Kahn.

Kirsten Ames Kahn is an independent educational consultant with over 20 years of experience working with teens as a high school teacher, DECA advisor, and mentor. A lifelong educator and certified career coach, she helps students discover their strengths, explore meaningful pathways, and navigate the college planning process with clarity and confidence.

Kirsten began mentoring high school students while studying at Dartmouth College and went on to earn her Master’s in Instruction and Curriculum from CU Boulder. She taught middle and high school math and science before transitioning into leadership roles in tech and startups, where she focused on creating tools and programs for innovation and growth.

Even as her career evolved, Kirsten remained rooted in education—volunteering with Denver Kids and East’s A+ Angels programs, serving on youth-focused nonprofit boards, and interviewing applicants for Dartmouth. After earning her NCDA Career Coach certification, she returned to the classroom as a Career and Technical Educator at East High School and began advising students through a Princeton-based counseling practice.

Today, through College with Clarity, Kirsten offers high-touch, individualized guidance to students and families across the Denver area. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a College Advisor for Minds Matter Colorado and Life After East.

Kirsten intentionally keeps her caseload small to provide the personalized attention each student deserves. If you’re looking for a trusted partner to help your family plan confidently for the future, she’d love to connect.
